Don't Quit

For this months writers tip I’m going to change things up a bit.  I’m going to share with you something that I see every time I sit down at my computer.  It is a poem by Jill Wolf.

Don't Quit

Don't quit when the tide is lowest,
For it's just about to turn;
Don't quit over doubt's and questions,
For there's something you may learn.
Don't quit when the night is darkest,
For its just a while 'til dawn;
Don't quit when you've run the farthest,
For the race is almost won.
Don't quit when the hill is steepest,
For your goal is almost nigh;
Don't quit, for you're not a failure
Until you fail to try.
By: Jill Wolf

It’s amazing how these simple words have inspired me to keep going.  They have driven me through all the writing, all the rewriting and the editing until finally I succeeded in creating something truly memorable.

These words have power and not just for writers, but for us all.  They speak for the drive that lies deep within us to see our dreams come true.  Your dreams are there for the taking.  All you have to do is reach for them.  And as Jill Wolf says, “Don’t quit, for you’re not a failure.”

Love this poem, "Don't Quit" by Jill Wolf
I had this bookmarker for a long time, but left it on an airplane.
Would like to order several of these book markers.
Can you tell me how and where to order these?
Thank you, Brenda Tucker

I got the bookmark years ago. I don't know if it's still available.

Hello, can you help me please and steer me in the direction of getting permission to use this poem in a book that my colleague is publishing? I can't find the name of the publisher etc anywhere and I'm sure you must have found them in order to print these wonderful lines.
Many thanks,
Rhoda

This poem I gave to my son as a freshman . He graduated in 2007. It has inspired him to always be strong and never give up. I found it in a mall so glad I bought it. It has a special meaning.
